Stars
Stellar astronomy includes theoretical modeling and observations of stars. Work in this area within the UW Astronomy Department includes studies of nearby and low-mass stars, high-mass star formation and evolution, binary and mass transferring stars, surface magnetic activity, star clusters and stellar populations, stars in nearby galaxies, and supernova progenitors.
