I am leading the development of major portions of two new optical time-domain surveys, the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) and the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. My primary research interest is using the resulting massive optical variability datasets to identify rare compact binaries. I use the ARC 3.5m and other telescopes to follow up transient and variable objects discovered by ZTF.
