I am generally interested in computational modeling and data science, with applications to stellar dynamics and evolution. This involves simulating the evolution of binary stars using VPLanet and comparing simulations to constraints from large-scale datasets (Gaia, Kepler, TESS). At the intersection of theory and observation (working with Rory Barnes and James Davenport), I am interested in applying/developing tools with machine learning that are efficient and interpretable for statistical inference challenges (e.g. non-linear, computationally expensive, high dimensional).
