The Brinson Foundation has added the University of Washington to the limited number of host institutions for its Brinson Prize Fellowship Program, in partnership with the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI). These fellowships are awarded to early career astrophysicists and cosmologists in pursuit of knowledge in observational cosmology that compliments and capitalizes on space science. For the fellowship tenures starting in 2024, there are three (3) planned awards, with the deadline on Nov. 2, 2023 at 4:00pm PST

Additionally, UW has been selected as a host for the 51 Pegasi b Fellowship, funded by the Heising-Simons Foundation. This fellowship supports postdoctoral fellows to advance our fundamental understanding of exoplanets, solar system science, planet formation and evolution, planetary atmospheres, protoplanetary disks, or other closely related topics. This year's 51-Peg b application cycle ends on Oct. 6, 2023
